Instagram data export
Analyze more of your Instagram export
An Instagram download can contain much more than followers and following. Don't Follow Back detects supported datasets and turns records that are actually present into relationship reports and evidence-based account insights.

Two report layers
Follower Report and Advanced Insights use different data
The Follower Report focuses on relationship datasets such as Followers, Following, pending requests, blocked accounts, restricted accounts, favorites, and close friends. This is the fastest export when your goal is relationship analysis.
Advanced Insights requires a fuller export. Depending on what Instagram includes, it can organize privacy, profile changes, content, comments, attention, ads, searches, account history, and business or audience records.
Dataset-aware
Missing data stays missing
Instagram exports vary by account, selected categories, date range, and changes to the platform's format. An absent dataset cannot be reconstructed from a different file.
The analyzer reports coverage and limitations instead of filling gaps with estimates. An empty section can mean no matching records were exported, the category was not selected, or the structure changed.
File requirements
Use JSON and choose the data you intend to analyze
Choose Export to device and JSON in Accounts Center. Include Followers and Following for relationship analysis. Request broader account information for Advanced Insights, and omit large media when you do not need original photos or videos.
You can upload the official ZIP directly. The importer inventories the archive rather than depending on one fixed folder name.
Questions
Common questions
Which format should I request?
Request JSON. HTML exports are designed for reading, not reliable structured analysis.
Do all Instagram exports contain Advanced Insights data?
No. Coverage depends on categories, date range, account type, and the files Instagram includes.
Can I upload only followers and following?
Yes. That is enough for the relationship report, but not the broader Advanced Insights sections.
