Terms of Service

Welcome to Dont Follow Back ("DFB", "we", "us"). By accessing or using DFB, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1) Eligibility and access

  • You must be legally capable of entering into these Terms and old enough to use the service in your region.
  • No DFB account is required. The service connects your current browser session to the report you are using.
  • You are responsible for using a device and browser that you control and for protecting access to your active report.

2) Your uploads

  • You may upload an official Instagram or Threads export solely to generate the relationship report or Advanced Insights features you select.
  • You represent that you are authorized to upload and process the information in the export.
  • The original upload is temporary and is removed after processing or when processing fails.
  • Some unlocked search and explorer features may use limited report data temporarily while the report is active. That data is removed after expiration and cleanup; DFB does not offer a permanent archive of your export.
  • You grant DFB a limited, non-exclusive license to process the upload only as needed to provide, protect, and support the service you requested.

3) Purchases and unlocks

  • Prices, products, and features are shown at checkout. A paid report is a session-based or otherwise limited access purchase, not a subscription, unless the checkout page expressly says otherwise.
  • Stripe and PayPal process payment credentials under their own terms. DFB does not receive full card credentials or payment passwords.
  • A purchase unlocks only the product confirmed by DFB for the current report. The amount shown in a browser request does not select the product or set the price.
  • Except where required by law or expressly stated at checkout, purchases are non-refundable after the requested report processing or paid feature has begun.
  • We may disable a paid feature temporarily for maintenance, security, legal, or operational reasons. Contact support if a confirmed purchase cannot be used.

4) Acceptable use

  • Do not upload unlawful content or content you lack permission to process.
  • Do not use DFB to harass, threaten, impersonate, stalk, defraud, or violate another person's rights.
  • Do not scrape the service, abuse request limits, probe security controls, reverse engineer payment flows, or interfere with availability.
  • Do not attempt to bypass paywalls, access controls, report boundaries, or another user's report.

5) Privacy

Your use of DFB is also governed by our Privacy Policy. In summary, DFB does not require social media login or scrape live accounts, does not keep a permanent export archive, removes original uploads after processing, and may use limited temporary report data to operate active paid search and explorer features.

6) Export-based reports

DFB reports are generated from the Instagram or Threads export file you provide. They are not live account monitoring and are not a guarantee that every record in your account was included, current, or interpreted by Instagram in the same way.

  • DFB does not log in, scrape, or contact Instagram or Threads to verify live account state.
  • Lists and timestamps reflect the uploaded export. Renamed, deactivated, deleted, suspended, inaccessible, stale, or unusual accounts may appear in unexpected buckets or may not connect across sections.
  • An account can appear in a relationship list even when Instagram no longer gives you a practical way to remove or manage that relationship. The report reflects what the export says; it does not prove that the relationship is currently active.
  • A single export can show accounts that appear not to follow back in that export. It cannot by itself prove when an unfollow occurred. Unfollower comparisons require a saved Snapshot and a later export.
  • Advanced Insights only covers categories present in the uploaded full export and supported by the current product. Missing categories, empty categories, or different export variants are normal.
  • Comment Explorer searches comment records included in the export. It does not search direct messages, private-message bodies, or content that Instagram did not include.
  • DFB does not analyze private-message bodies or process the bytes of photos and videos as part of Advanced Insights. A message or media category may still be recognized for export coverage.
  • Usernames and links are presented as exported. A username may have changed after the export was created, and a link may no longer work.

7) No professional advice

Reports are informational tools for reviewing your own exported data. They are not legal, financial, security, employment, marketing, or professional advice. You are responsible for deciding what action to take and for checking important conclusions against the source export and the relevant platform.

8) Availability and disclaimers

THE SERVICE AND REPORTS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, RELIABILITY, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR AVAILABLE FOR EVERY EXPORT VARIANT.

9) Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DFB AND ITS AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, REPUTATION, OR REVENUE, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO USE THE SERVICE IN THE THREE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

10) Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold DFB harmless from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your uploads, your use of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of another person's rights or applicable law.

11) Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for suspected abuse, security risk, unlawful use, payment issues, or operational reasons. You may stop using the service at any time. Termination does not remove provisions that by their nature should continue, including disclaimers, liability, indemnity, and dispute terms.

12) Changes

We may update these Terms as the service changes. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, additional notice. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated Terms.

13) Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Venue and jurisdiction lie in the state and federal courts located in Santa Clara County, California.
