What happens after you submit a crypto payment
Crypto payments are confirmed on the blockchain, which means they’re not instant in the same way card payments are.
Here’s what to expect.
Step 1: Payment submitted
After completing the payment through Coinbase Commerce, you’ll be redirected back to Don’t Follow Back.
At this point, your transaction is sent to the blockchain for confirmation.
Step 2: Confirmation period (this is normal)
You may see a message like this:
Crypto payment pending…
Your transaction is confirming on the blockchain.
This page will unlock automatically, or you can check now.
This doesn’t mean anything is wrong.
It simply means the network is confirming the transaction.
Most confirmations complete within a few minutes, but timing can vary slightly depending on the network.
Step 3: Automatic unlock
As soon as confirmation is received:
- your session unlocks automatically
- the page refreshes to show full results
- no action is required
You don’t need to reload manually or resubmit payment.
If it takes a little longer
If confirmation takes more than a few minutes, you’ll see a Check now button.
Clicking it safely checks whether the payment has completed and unlocks your session if it has.
This does the same thing as the automatic check — it just gives you control instead of waiting.
Important: you won’t be charged twice
Clicking Check now does not submit a new payment.
It simply checks whether your existing payment has finished confirming.
In most cases, the page will unlock automatically before you ever need it.
